A new app designed to connect consumers with local deals has made its way to the Foothills.
Chamber Perks is a platform that allows businesses to provide coupons and deals to bring in customers.
The Chamber Perks App is owned by a Canadian company and was released in April of this year. The app is currently partnered with over 50 communities across Canada.
The app partnered with the Okotoks & District Chamber of Commerce for an official community launch in May. Currently the app is hosting around 20 perks in Okotoks with new deals being added all the time.
The chamber is hopeful the app will provide value to both registered businesses and consumers.
“We are encouraging residents to download the app and turn on notifications so they can see what local businesses are in our community and communities they might be visiting,” said Dawn LeMaistre, executive director of the Okotoks & District Chamber of Commerce.
The app recently expanded its coverage with a partnership with the High River Chamber of Commerce, making deals available in two Foothills communities.
App users have the option of enabling notifications to get notified when they are near businesses with available deals.
With many Canadians feeling the need to support local business, the app will provide a convenient way to shop local and save, all on a Canadian-owned app.
Interested consumers can download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store for free. Local businesses interested in registering can contact their local chamber of commerce for more details.
